Option-Chart is an interactive visualization charting tool that helps option investors to calculate profit or loss versus various possible stock prices at option expiration. Click here to view a few screenshots.
Option-Chart is easy to use. As user enters or removes each trading transaction, the chart updates automatically. User may move the mouse cursor on chart to see profit or loss at different stock prices instantly, both in absolute amount and in percentage. User may zoom in repetitively by clicking and dragging on chart, he or she may also right-click on chart to zoom out.
Whether you are trying to design a suitable option strategy before establishing a position or are trying to decide follow-up action on existing positions, you can make use of this tool. Just enter those potential transactions in mind and view the result on chart right away. There is no painful calculation on paper or wasted time any more!
Option-Chart is a web-based application. It requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) from Sun Microsystems be installed on your computer before being used. If your computer doesn't have JRE installed yet, you will be prompted automatically to download and install it when you launch Option-Chart the first time. If that is the case, just click "OK" and follow the instructions on screen. It shall be a quite smooth process, taking about 1 to 2 minutes if you have high-speed Internet connection, like DSL or cable modem. After this once-in-a-life-time effort, Option-Chart will always be just one-click away from you in the future.
